The active compounds in BIO Lavandula Bohemia® have been studied by scientists from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague — Dr. Iveta Horsáková and Associate Professor Helena Čížková — in collaboration with the BIOCEN Laboratories team led by Associate Professor Ing. Petr Kaštánek, Ph.D.
The research is supported by experts in balneology such as Associate Professor Petr Kolísko, PhDr., and MUDr. Milada Saárová — regarded as the founder of modern balneology in post-communist Czechoslovakia — who continues to work successfully in her spa clinic in Karlovy Vary.

Organically grown Lavandula Bohemia® is a child of this borderland between Křivoklátsko — the cradle of Bohemian hunting traditions — and the sacred corners of the Bohemian Karst. It grows amidst the legendary Tetín cliffs where Saint Ludmila was murdered, in landscapes filled with oak forests, wild sage and clary sage, and rich paleontological sites. It thrives in the protected areas of Karlštejn and Křivoklát, draws energy from the healing breezes of the Brdy Forest, and is nourished by the waters of the Berounka and Vltava rivers.
Its roots reach into botanical treasures like Zlatý Hrádek Hill, the mineral spring of Kotýz Fortress, the wildflower meadows and woodlands of Svatý Jan pod Skalou, the ancient quarry of Kobyla with its "Devil’s Steps," the sacred and mystical Mount Plešivec, the Bubovice Waterfalls, and cliffs of dark quartzite rock formed 600 million years ago. This is a landscape rich with castles, chateaux, ruined fortresses, stone cairns, and ancient paths.
