Cultivation and Planting

Marigolds are very easy to cultivate and do not require pre-growth.

They can be sown from mid-April to the end of May, with approximately 20 cm spacing between seedlings.

The flowers range in color from bright yellow to deep orange.

At home, seeds can be planted on a windowsill as early as January or February.

In the garden, marigolds help repel aphids, ants, nematodes, and crickets, suppress weed growth, and protect vegetables from mold.

Sowing: January–February in a greenhouse or April–May in sunny outdoor locations.

Harvest

Harvest time depends on the sowing date and takes place from May to September.

Marigold flowers are harvested and can be used fresh or dried — to brew tea, infuse oil, or prepare ointments.
