Mineral Lake and Well-being Zone

New for your longevity in the well-being area of the Lavender Valley

Garden, botany, landscape, water, scents, birdsong and the rustling of the trees
“Look deeply into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”
Albert Einstein

A rare spring in the heart of the Barrandien Geopark
New with us: You can gaze into the surface of a mineral lake located in the middle of the Barrandia Geopark – in the area of the Karlštejn , Křivoklát and Brdy Forest Protected Landscape Area.
Not far from the Lavender Valley, a rare spring rises beneath the Kotýz , St. John under the Rock, and Plešivec . We also discovered a mineral spring here in the Lavender Valley that helps with digestive, nervous, and autoimmune problems .

Hardening and pleasant refreshment on summer days

The lake is ready to be hardened – for our visitors as well as for our overnight guests.
We have planted traditional European tree species by the lake, providing coolness, shade, and fragrance—combined with our organic lavender and organic rose fields.
Those who know put on their swimsuits and dive into the cool mineral water, which is rich in beneficial minerals:
Mg, Fe , K, Na, Zn , Ca a.

Did you know that immersing the body in cold water completely renews the function of mitochondria – the building blocks of our cells – and naturally regenerates the nervous system, supports the function of the cardiovascular system, improves the hormonal, musculoskeletal and digestive systems – and I'm not even talking about mind and soul.
Our ancestors washed themselves in cold water for centuries, and our phenomenal spa treatments are based on hydrotherapy. Pourings, compresses, baths, cooling, wraps, steam applications, and cleansing with enemas. Therefore, water became the vehicle of life, a cult object, and a ritual medium. Our ancestors especially worshipped springs and wells and made offerings to them.

Refreshments, specialties from the Czech calendar, aromatherapy and music therapy – all of this is part of the area.
And after a dip in the mineral lake and contemplating the sacred Plešivec Mountain , you can enjoy one of our warm organic teas to warm your body, mind, and soul, or a cold brew for refreshment on hot days. Whether on a lounger, a blanket, an armchair, a swing, or while taking a walk – your experience will be unique.

The power of the elements, hidden in the mineral-rich seas of the Barrandien Geopark brings a unique source of energy and vitality.
Rare biodynamic substances from the Chodouň region such as organic Lavandula Bohemia , organic Damascus roses and other medicinal herbs promote the harmony of body and mind.
Relax in the tranquility of the organic cherry orchard or under blooming sakura trees and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of nature.

Water served as a symbol of spiritual and physical purification. Ritual baths were an essential part of the traditional healing methods of the Celts and Slavs. Our precious mineral wealth, combined with minerals and medicinal herbs, enabled the development of our country's reputation for phenomenal spa treatments.
Our long tradition in balneology is rooted in centuries of history. This legacy is built upon famous landmarks like the first colonnades by David Becher in Teplice, one of the oldest spa facilities in Europe, as well as the valuable Jáchymov radon for treating severe musculoskeletal diseases and the wonderful Darkov iodine for a healthy thyroid gland. Healing springs were discovered gradually over the centuries, and by the reign of Emperor Charles IV, our region was already renowned as a master of balneotherapy, a reputation that continued under the Austro-Hungarian Dual Monarchy.

Minerals in water – natural defense, strength of resistance
Hardening has always been one of the proven practices and applications of holistic functional medicine.
Investing time in strengthening the immune system—the body's natural ability to successfully fight off illness—requires commitment. Diving into ice-cold water when it's 0°C outside requires a certain amount of courage. But only in the first few days.

What happens then?
We feel like we could break rocks and climb Mount Everest.
Because your body not only benefits from longevity, but also feels rejuvenated. After a daily ice-cold shower, you'll notice visible changes – your skin will be more radiant, your hair stronger, and your face will take on a fresh, positive expression with fewer wrinkles.
Hardening has been proven to strengthen the immune system and brings numerous health benefits:

  • Prevention of droplet infections, flu, colds, and sore throats; overall, it reduces the risk of infection.

  • Reducing high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

  • Supports cardiovascular health, strengthens blood vessels and heart.

  • Help with psychological and mental health problems.

  • Prevention and support for autoimmune diseases.

  • Contribution to the prevention of cancer.

Legendary world record holder Wim Hof describes how ice-cold water, extreme altitudes and the environment renew our inner strength.
Rostislav Václavek cured an incurable disease through daily hardening and Buteyko breathing methods.
Most traditional medical systems – Arabic, European, Ayurvedic and Chinese – recommend hydrotherapy and hardening as an important part of caring for the body, mind and soul.

And that’s not all – we’ve also thought of the little hardening artists!

Water is an element and a gift of life, so we have prepared a path for adults and children that will add variety to your bathing and hardening.
To make your time by the water even more enjoyable, we've developed an educational game about water and its history. Join us on a journey through the history of water as an ancient symbol of purification, which has always held crucial significance for people, animals, fruits, and plants.
We wander through a land of fairy tales and legends, where we encounter forest spirits. We remember ancient proverbs, chronicle entries, festivals, and traditions that have enriched our lives for centuries, just as they did the lives of our ancestors.
We build on their wisdom and deep understanding of nature, of which water is an inseparable part.
