cultivation
Cultivation and Planting

Growing marigolds is very easy. The seeds do not require pre-cultivation, as they grow reliably through direct sowing.

They can be sown from mid-April to the end of May, with a recommended spacing of 20 cm between seeds. Marigolds reach a considerable height, and their flowers range in color from bright yellow to deep orange.

At home on a windowsill, seeds can be planted as early as January or February.

In the garden, marigolds repel aphids, ants, nematodes, and crickets, suppress weed growth, and protect vegetables from mold.

Sowing: January–February in a greenhouse, or April–May directly into sunny locations.

Harvest

Harvest time depends on the sowing date and takes place from May to September.

Marigold flowers are harvested and can be used fresh or dried — for tea, oil infusions, or ointments.

It is also known for its anti-cancer effects, particularly in preventive gynecology.

“In the Lavender Valley, we grow organic lavender because only organically grown herbs, which is not contaminated with pesticides, has proven medicinal properties.

Our ORGANIC Lavandula Bohemia has a high content of natural organic antioxidants, antibiotics, antivirals, antidepressants, and flavonoids—active ingredients confirmed by scientific research."

The research into the active ingredients contained in Organic Lavandula Bohemia was conducted by scientists from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Dr. Iveta Horsáková and Doctor Helena Čížková, and the BIOCEN Laboratories team led by Doctor Ing. Petr Kaštánek, Ph.D.

"To navigate the complex world of modern medicine and today's pharmaceutical business, as well as the fake news in the field of health and the charlatans who exploit human misfortune, it takes a great deal of courage to engage in a discussion with your doctors or therapists. You have to have the desire to discover, educate, investigate, and learn. Don't let the fact that you pay for health insurance discourage you from asking questions about whether a certain medicine will truly help you, what potential side effects it might have, and what other options are available. You have every right to do so. This is about your body, mind, and soul. While doctors and practitioners are there to help and offer guidance, knowledge, and treatment, ultimately, only you have the power to heal yourself."

says Helena Neumann, pediatric nurse, naturopath and founder of Lavender Valley.
