cultivation
Cultivation and Sowing

Ribwort plantain can be sown from spring to autumn. Plant seeds directly into organic soil from May to September in sunny locations, leaving approximately 20 cm between plants.

Although the plant tolerates sunny conditions well, it requires high humidity — so regular watering is essential.

Ribwort plantain thrives in a variety of soil types, from humus-rich to rocky soils.

Harvest

Harvesting usually takes place from June to August, depending on the time of sowing, and should occur before the plant flowers.

Leaves must be dried quickly to prevent them from turning black.

Avoid harvesting after rain or during morning dew.

use

Ribwort plantain is a perennial herb that grows up to 30 cm tall. It is commonly processed into syrup to support normal respiratory function or used in the form of tea or ointment.

It acts as an antioxidant and promotes the normal function of the digestive tract. It also supports the immune system.

Ribwort plantain leaves can be used in the kitchen — for example, in salads or soups.

They can also be applied topically to bleeding wounds, boils, and purulent injuries.

“In the Lavender Valley, we grow organic lavender because only organically grown herbs, which is not contaminated with pesticides, has proven medicinal properties.

Our ORGANIC Lavandula Bohemia has a high content of natural organic antioxidants, antibiotics, antivirals, antidepressants, and flavonoids—active ingredients confirmed by scientific research."

The research into the active ingredients contained in Organic Lavandula Bohemia was conducted by scientists from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Dr. Iveta Horsáková and Doctor Helena Čížková, and the BIOCEN Laboratories team led by Doctor Ing. Petr Kaštánek, Ph.D.

"To navigate the complex world of modern medicine and today's pharmaceutical business, as well as the fake news in the field of health and the charlatans who exploit human misfortune, it takes a great deal of courage to engage in a discussion with your doctors or therapists. You have to have the desire to discover, educate, investigate, and learn. Don't let the fact that you pay for health insurance discourage you from asking questions about whether a certain medicine will truly help you, what potential side effects it might have, and what other options are available. You have every right to do so. This is about your body, mind, and soul. While doctors and practitioners are there to help and offer guidance, knowledge, and treatment, ultimately, only you have the power to heal yourself."

says Helena Neumann, pediatric nurse, naturopath and founder of Lavender Valley.
